For more than a decade, Thierry Guetta, under his moniker Mr. Brainwash, has been pushing the envelope of contemporary art with his innovative and fearless style.
Mr. Brainwash was the main feature of the elusive artist Banksy’s award-winning documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) subsequently launching his street art career. He is known for his use of visual elements from pop’s past, as well as raw components from his street art beginnings, pioneering his unique contemporary style.
His work features appropriation of iconic images of both famous historical figures as well as fictional characters rendered in a vibrant palette. Not only has he dominated the street art scene by bringing art to the masses, but Brainwash has also expanded into the world of collaborations including iconic brands including Mercedes-Benz and Coca-Cola.
His imaginative construction of larger-than-life international gallery exhibitions and art shows continues to attract the attention of critics and celebrities alike. From musicians to fashion icons, his works continue to be sought after and collected by the world’s elite.
